About

Oriana Inferrera, Soprano, has worked as a performer, director, and librettist and is currently based in Boston. Recently, Ms. Inferrera performed the title role in the the workshop of Patricia Herzog's Resurrection of Lucretia, a feminist retelling of the classic tale.

 

As a passionate supporter of new music, Ms. Inferrera has also been involved as stage director of the premier of Marc Hoffeditz's Non Motus for Promenade Opera Project's 2019 fundraising Gala. In June of 2018, Ms. Inferrera was a swing for several roles in OperaHub Boston's world premier of DIVAS. In August of 2019 Ms. Inferrera was a featured artist with Modern Singer Magazine.

In her last year at the conservatory, Ms. Inferrera has completed the libretto to a new opera, currently being set by Conservatory alum, Julia Kornick. The project, entitled Pomegranate Seeds, follows Persephone's journey through the underworld and explores the consequences of knowledge and the responsibility that agency requires.

In addition to a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California, Ms. Inferrera holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and GPD in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In 2018 she completed a stage directing program in Verona, Italy.

As of Summer 2020 Ms. Inferrera will be offering virtual voice lessons and dramatic coaching sessions.
